Make that 3-0

So Isaac won his match last Tuesday. It was super exciting. The team was down points, but it was still close. Isaac needed to pin his guy in order for the team to win. The guy was stronger than Isaac, but Isaac out wrestled him. The score was 14-0 then you'll see (if you watch the video) that Isaac lets him go. This is so the guy would get a point because one more takedown and Isaac would have "teched" him and won, but we needed points from a pin. It was crazy when Isaac finally pinned him. There was a total roar that the crowd let out. You would have thought he won the state championship.

This was also a really fun match for me and Elyssa. Elyssa doesn't like wrestling and takes wrestling season to spend with her dad, friends, and grandparents while I'm at the all day meets and tournaments. Then by the time softball comes around we're not allowed to talk about wrestling, which we totally understand. This year the team is super big and we actually have a full JV squad. We believe that its because we had the 5 boys go to state last year. Well with all the commotion and matches the coach was going crazy because we had so many close matches and so many new wrestlers. Elyssa figured out that she could start randomly yelling and no one would look at her crazy. We had fun just yelling and screaming long before Isaac wrestled. She can't wait to do it again. It was nice to have her enjoy the matches with me.

This week is super busy. Tomorrow we have Isaac's first two big matches of the year. Then on Friday we have our first big tournament. The brackets are crazy big and there are over 21 schools in attendance. Last year Isaac had to wrestle off even before he could be considered in the tournament. This year he should be wranked and not have to wrestle anyone off. He doesn't care though, he just wants more wrestling time.
