Bambi & Bruce's Anniversary

Has it really been 15 years! I can still remember Bambi's anniversary like it was yesterday too! I think the biggest thing I remember is how calm she was. We have a picture of her sitting quietly waiting while everyone else is running around. That is total Bambi! I can think of many occasions where I was freaking out and Bambi was all "Who cares? What are they going to do?"

I remember Bambi's first anniversary she wanted this anniversary candle that you burn every year that you're married. I bought her the candle and thought to myself she'll have this thing for the rest of her life. I think it went to 20 years. Man, that seemed like an eternity away. I think of her wedding in Isaac years. Isaac was pulled down the aisle in a wagon, and now look at him. And who can forget how many people stood when they asked for the parents to stand or when Bruce's cousin fell just as they were pronounced man and wife?! Classic.

I remember the first time Bruce called the house out of the blue looking for Bambi. I thought it was so funny that he felt he had to tell me his last name when I was taking the message. As if there were so many other Bruce's out there. Bruce had marriage on his mind from the moment he called for her that first day. And I can say that I predicted it all!

My dad thought Bruce was so great. I remember when they had their first argument and my dad took Bruce's side. That was shocking!

I miss you guys and I wish I was there to make you a special dinner or something. Anyways, I hope you guys have a great anniversary!
