Elyssa has been trying to spend a lot of time with her best friend Shelby before school starts again. (They don't attend the same school.) This past weekend they went to a horse farm. They didn't get to ride any horses, but they were able to clean them and pick up the "droppings". Elyssa said she only gagged twice. Of course, she is now wanting me to get her cowboy boots for her next trip to the farm.
Isaac just finished his last wrestling camp where he did awesome! He finished 12-1. He went undefeated until the final match of the tournament. He lost 5-4. No other wrestled lasted 3 periods with this guy so he did so well and ended up taking 2nd place. He had the best finish on his team. He has been working so hard since wrestling season ended and it is good to see his work paying off. When school resumes he will not be playing football any longer (the team has tons of issues), but will begin cross country which is only a 5k run. Too weird. Anyways we think this will keep him in shape for wreslting.
School starts back in 2 weeks. Isaac is ready to go back. Elyssa wants to see her friends again, but can't seem to get up in time yet. She is still pulling "all nighters". This morning I woke her up at 6:15 and told her no napping. I'm hoping to get her back on schedule by the end of the week.
It is has been really great to have Mark home. He has been home since June 27th and he'll be home for another couple weeks! I love when he is home. There just seems to be more balance. Not to mention less whining from Nina (our dog).
